At the end of November and at the beginning of December, EKKOM company employees conducted two trainings in the field of traffic calming and the implementation of a directive establishing common noise assessment methods.
The first training took place in Kazimierz Dolny on 26-27 November. Employees of the Regional Directorates of Environmental Protection and Marshal Offices participated in a meeting concerning traffic calming and its acoustic impact. Apart from the training and workshops, a trip was held to the so called “Dutch town” in the city of Puławy. One week later, on 3-4 December in the city of Józefów, officials from the environmental departments of GDDKiA (General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways) participated in a training on the implementation of Commission Directive 2015/996 of 19 May 2015 establishing common noise assessment methods.
