We are pleased to announce that Mr Maciej Halucha, Vice President of the Management Board of EKKOM Sp. z o.o., defended his doctoral thesis and obtained a doctoral degree. The dissertation was entitled “Influence of noise reduction coefficients by road surfaces on the results and accuracy of noise modelling in the surroundings of roads”. Congratulations!
EKKOM is carrying out the ELANORE project in consortium with the Gdansk University of Technology and the Norwegian company SINTEF AS. The project is funded by the National Centre for Research and Development under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014 – 2021 “POLNOR 2019 – Energy, Transport and Climate”. On 2 March 2021 the Minister of Infrastructure recommended guidelines for road engineering structures for use. The set of these studies includes “Guidelines for designing environmental protection elements and devices on road engineering structures” prepared by the EKKOM team in cooperation with the Road and Bridges Research Institute. Due to the dynamically changing epidemiological situation and the risk of transmission of COVID-19 virus, the management board of EKKOM decided to implement home office mode of work from 12 March 2020 until further notice. We are pleased to announce that the General Meeting of Members of the Polish Road Congress (PKD) held on 16 September 2020 in Warsaw appointed Prof. Janusz Bohatkiewicz, President of the Management Board of EKKOM, as Vice-President of the Management Board of Polish Road Congress. The new Board was appointed for the term of office from 2020 to 2025.
