In the second half of October 2017, the roundabout in Gliwice, one of EKKOM’s projects, achieved a decision on permission for the implementation of a road project.
The roundabout will be built at the current intersection of Kozielska St., Wyczółkowski St. and Kresowa St. The investment will also cover the construction of a new pavement, as well as reconstruction and construction of sidewalks. Bus stop on Kozielska St. will be moved to different location and a bus bay will be built.
The Municipal Road Administration in Gliwice commissioned EKKOM to design a roundabout in the place of the existing intersection for the safety of its users. Despite good visibility and proper road signs in this place, the police record road traffic events related to violation the right of way and improper overtaking.
The construction of the roundabout, which aim is to calm road traffic and improve safety, is one of the key road investments in Gliwice.
